What is the road map to the most glorious future you can imagine?

To understand, let's first take a look backward.

When given this blessed truth by the Holy Spirit, Isaiah the prophet wrote: “How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation” (Isaiah 52:7).

The Word of God also tells us that the Gospel was first preached to Abraham when the Lord said to him, “In thee shall all nations be blessed” (Galatians 3:8). The plan of salvation was revealed even to the heart of Abraham, the father of faith.

Later, through Moses the Gospel was revealed to Israel (Exodus 12), as they were commanded to apply the blood of the lamb on the lintel and side posts and were saved from the death angel as God hovered over them then brought them out of Egypt with great power:

And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses.… And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt. (Exodus 12:7, 13)

The Gospel was also preached to Israel throughout their history, for it was revealed over and over to David and to the prophets. The Gospel was revealed to the heart of David when he wrote these words: “Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction” (Psalm 103:1-4).

Isaiah the prophet also received this great truth when he wrote: “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5).

Yes, by the Holy Spirit the prophets declared the Gospel to Israel!

The Greatest Privilege

Just before ascending to heaven, Jesus, our blessed Lord—He who fulfilled every prophecy concerning Himself, the Son of God who died for the sins of humanity and shed His precious blood on that cross, the Son of Almighty God who rose again gloriously from the dead, the One who ascended into heaven, the One who sits today at God’s right hand, the One who became the substitute for you and me, the One who became the substitute for man’s sins, the blessed Lord who lives forever, our great High Priest—said to His disciples, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15). There He gave them the greatest privilege and the greatest honor given to any man or woman.

Now this same Jesus is calling you and me to do the same, to go into all the world to preach His blessed Gospel and tell all nations that He is the Lamb of God, slain for the sins of the world; that He is the One who takes away the sins of the world; that He is the “the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6)!

The time to tell them is now, not later, but now! For “now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2).

That Time Is Now!

Let’s not wait until it is too late!

Isaiah said that the time will come when men will call on the Lord, but He will not answer. But he also wrote: “Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near” (Isaiah 55:6).

That time is now!

We cannot delay, nor can we lose this glorious moment of opportunity.

We must tell lost humanity now, as in the words of that precious song from decades past: “Jesus is the answer for the world today; above Him there’s no other, Jesus is the way!”
