HEALING WATERS THAT FLOW FOR OUR SOULS

JESUS AND HEALING WATERS
ARE "FREELY" RECEIVED

"Freely you have received ~ Freely give"

Revelation 22:17
17The Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let him who hears say, "Come!" Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life.

Grace Applied:
The conversation at the well has imparted at least 5 priceless gifts to this woman’s soul.

Value: Jesus is the one who seeks her out.
Though a woman and a Samaritan, and in spite of her sin and shame, Jesus addresses her.
Note too that the depth of the conversation speaks value into her.

Salvation: Jesus offers her living water which satisfies the thirsty soul into eternity.

Forgiveness: Jesus helps her to acknowledge her sin. Brought into the open, she is relieved of its burden.

Spiritual insight: He opens her eyes so that she can proclaim, “Could this be the Messiah?” as she points her community to him.

Honour: she is his chosen vehicle through which the townsfolk would come to believe in him.
Bestowed with this honour, it’s hard to imagine that she doesn’t gain a new status in the wake of his visit.

Applying the story today
Jesus’ conversation with the woman at the well poured grace into her life which overflowed into the life of her community. The same things which Jesus bestowed on her are timeless graces, given freely to whoever will receive them. They rightfully belong to God’s children, yet they often slip through our grasp.

Here are a few questions for reflection and Bible verses which relate to each of these gifts.
If you find that you have difficulty in living out these graces in your life, reflect upon the Scriptural truths and ask God to help you to embrace them by faith.
You may also find strength in sharing your reflections with a spiritual friend or mentor.

Value: Am I secure in my knowledge that I am valued as one made in God’s image, addressed by him, and precious to him? (Romans 5:6-11, 1John3:1-3, Eph 1:3-6)

Salvation: Am I drinking—deeply and consistently–from the living water which Jesus gives, allowing it to well up in me and to flow from me? (John 7:37-39, Isaiah 55:1-3, Isaiah 58:9-11)

Forgiveness: Do I bring my sins into the open, being truthful with myself and with God, so that they can be forgiven and their burden removed? (Psam 32:1-5, Isaiah 43:24-25, Luke 7:44-50)

Spiritual insight: Do I seek to know God ever more deeply, aware that the depths of his being are knowable and yet ever beyond my mastery? (Col 2:2-3, Phil 3:10, Romans 11:33-35)

Honour: Without seeking my own honour, am I faithful to reflect Christ to the world around me, compelled by his love, glory and praise? (Mt 5:13-16, Rev 4:10-11)

Peace like a River + Let your living water flow

Peace like a river
Love like a mountain
The wind of Your Spirit
Is blowing everywhere
Joy like a fountain
Healing spring of life
Come, Holy Spirit
Let Your fire fall

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus
Father, Father, Father
Spirit, Spirit, Spirit

Let Your living water flow over my soul
Let Your Holy Spirit come and take control
Of every situation that has troubled my mind
All my cares and burdens on to You I roll

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus
Father, Father, Father
Spirit, Spirit, Spirit

Blog EntryI REFUSEJun 8, '08 4:26 AM
for everyone

I refuse to be discouraged, To be sad, or cry;
I refuse to be downhearted, and here's the reason why:
I have a God who's mighty, Who sovereign and supreme;
I have a God who loves me, and I am on his team.

He is all wise and powerful. JESUS is his name;
Though everything is changeable, My God remains the same.
My God knows all that's happening; Beginning to end;
His presence is my comfort; He is my dearest Friend.

When sickness comes to weaken me, To bring my head down low, I call
upon my mighty God; Into his arms I go.
When circumstances threaten to rob me of my peace; He draws me close
unto his breast, Where all my strivings cease.

When my heart melts within me, and weakness takes control;
He gathers me into his arms, He soothes my heart and soul.
The great "I AM" is with me. My life is in his hand.
The "SON OF THE LORD" is my hope. It's in his strength I stand.

I refuse to be defeated. My eyes are on my God; He has promised to
be with me, As through this life I trod.
I'm looking past all circumstances, To Heaven's throne above; My
prayers have reached the heart of God, I'm resting in his love. I
give God thanks in everything. My eyes are on his face;
The battle's his, the victory mine; He'll help me win the race.

I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHS ME!!!

Blog EntryLET IT GOJun 8, '08 4:22 AM
for everyone

By T. D. Jakes
There are people who can walk away from you..

And hear me when I tell you this! When people can walk
away from you: let them walk.
I don't want you to try to talk another person into
staying with you, loving you, calling you, caring about you, coming to
see you, staying attached to you. I mean hang up the phone..

When people can walk away from you let them walk.
Your destiny is never tied to anybody that left.

The bible said that, they came out from us
that it might be made manifest that they were not for
us. For had they been of us, no doubt they would have
continued with us. [1 John 2:19]

People leave you because they are not joined to you.
And if they are not joined to you, you can't make them stay.

Let them go.

And it doesn't mean that they are a bad person it just
means that their part in the story is over. And you've got
to know when people's part in your story is over so that you don't keep
trying to raise the dead.

You've got to know when it's dead.

You've got to know when it's over. Let me tell you
something. I've got the gift of good-bye. It's the tenth spiritual gift, I
believe in good-bye. It's not that I'm hateful, it's that I'm
faithful, and I know whatever God means for me to have He'll give it to me.
And if it takes too much sweat I don't need it. Stop begging people to stay.

Let them go!!

If you are holding on to something that doesn't belong
to you and was never intended for your life, then you need to......

LET IT GO!!!

If you are holding on to past hurts and pains ....

LET IT GO!!!

If someone can't treat you right, love you back, and
see your worth.....

LET IT GO!!!

If someone has angered you ........

LET IT GO!!!

If you are holding on to some thoughts of evil and revenge......

LET IT GO!!!

If you are involved in a wrong relationship or addiction......

LET IT GO!!!

If you are holding on to a job that no! longer meets your needs or talents ....

LET IT GO!!!

If you have a bad attitude........

LET IT GO!!!

If you keep judging others to make yourself feel better......

LET IT GO!!!

If you're stuck in the past and God is trying to take

you to a new level in Him......

LET IT GO!!!

If you are struggling with the healing of a broken
relationship........

LET IT GO!!!

If you keep trying to help someone who won't even try
to help themselves......

LET IT GO!!!

If you're feeling depressed and stressed .......

LET IT GO!!!

If there is a particular situation that you are so
used to handling yourself

and God is saying "take your hands off of it,"

then you need to......

LET IT GO!!!

Let the past be the past. Forget the former things.
GOD is doing a new thing

Blog EntrySeek My Face and Not Just My HandMay 25, '08 5:14 AM

Seek My Face and Not Just My Hand
by Elena Ramirez

Child, Seek my face,
And not just my hand.
Let me show you,
To help you to understand.

I love you with an everlasting kindness.
With me you can find great success.
Or, do you settle for less?

You are so caught up now,
To make ends meet,
That your focus is off of me
And, in seeking compensation,
You are failing the test, the lesson.
You will miss me and, surely, be in defeat.

Turn around and turn to me.
Seek me, wholeheartedly.
Seek my truth and
Hold it close to your heart.
I will never leave you or depart.

Do you hear my voice?
You will, if you make the choice
To seek me, my wild child.
Turn right now, right now, here,
And listen as you hear.

Pray, in faith, for me to make a way.
I will guide you and will not turn away.
But, do not stray. Stay close to me.
Repent of any sin and then, again, begin.

Hidden or in darkness,
I will give you sight.
But, let me bring it to the light.

Do not let anything else
Become your priority.
By taking your eyes off of me,
You would lose your sight
And be in darkness of night.
Remember, My ways are right.

Seek My Kingdom
And my righteousness,
With the greatest of awareness.

All these things will be added unto you.
But, you must do
What my word tells you to.

For, who I AM, In holiness divine:
The earth is mine and the fullness thereof;
I will give to you, my child, with my love.
I will send blessings from above.

Do you want to know how to live?
Then, also, give.
Plant a seed for someone's need.
Turn away from selfish greed.
For if you knew, it is better to
give then to receive.

The enemy would leave
You would bind;
His plan, against all man,
Woman and child.
But, it is by my blood I shed,
On the cross, to take this loss

What a better world it would be,
You and others in victory.
Do you have the vision to see?
Or, do you stand by, helpless,
And let the enemy steal,
From you, all that is true?

For my gospel's sake,
Do not let the enemy take the word.
For, you have heard I am here.
With me there is nothing to fear.

Do not let greed steal your blessing.
But, let your yearning be directed to me
See only me and not just my hand to receive.
For when you believe,
The blessings will not leave.

Do not look to any person
As your resource.
But, stay on course with me.
Trust in the plan I have established,
Through me, for you, my child.
By my Spirit, I will guide.

My child, seek me and pray,
And believe, and know.
For, to those in faith, I show;
I will make a way ...

As you seek my face.
For, by my grace, it comes
As you understand My ways
As I have spoken to you, today.

Seek my face and not just my hand.
By my Spirit, you can withstand.

II Chronicles 7:14
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face,
and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Hosea 5:15
I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face:
in their affliction they will seek me early.

Psalm 27:8
When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek.

Father,
I bless you, my Lord, as I come to your throne. For, I am weary, as I have, been in a spiritual battle. How good it is to know that I can come to you, and seek your face, and that you love me. As I listen to you speak to my heart, and know, you are able to do a good thing.... For, you do provide for my needs, according to your riches, through Christ, Jesus.

I will trust in that, today and everyday. For, it is a testimony, today. Even though, Lord, I see, how people hustle each other, how they cheat and steal, and make someone's life miserable ... I will not give place to that and I will not let it steal my joy. My trust is in you.

Father, your system, is not the system, of the world. You have mercy, you are kind, and you make a way when there seems to be no way.

How wonderful, that you speak to my heart and comfort me, and those that would seek you. I know because, today, someone tried to hustle and cheat me. I thought, in anger, truthfully, how rude, how crude. Lord, get them. I was shocked!

But, You made a way and set me free. You caused me to escape a trap, they tried to set. I am free, indeed. I will never take that for granted.

I thank you, for just doing a new thing and restoring my hope, my resources, and my love.

Why is it that I know, you will restore? Hmmm.....
(a private thought, between me and my Lord) Thanks Father!
You just put a smile on my face.
Because of that and all that you are to me, my dear Lord, I seek your face and not just your hand.
In Jesus name,
Amen

We are a moment, You are forever
Lord of the Ages, God before time
We are a vapor, You are eternal
Love everlasting, reigning on high

Chorus:
Holy, holy, Lord God Almighty
Worthy is the Lamb Who was slain
Highest praises, honor and glory

Now after this the Lord chose and appointed seventy others and sent them out ahead of Him, two by two, into every town and place where He Himself was about to come (visit). 2 And He said to them, The harvest indeed is abundant [there is much ripe grain], but the farmhands are few. Pray therefore the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest. 3 Go your way; behold, I send you out like lambs into the midst of wolves. 4 Carry no purse, no provisions bag, no [change of] sandals; refrain from [retarding your journey by] saluting and wishing anyone well along the way. 5 Whatever house you enter, first say, Peace be to this household! [Freedom from all the distresses that result from sin be with this family]. 6 And if anyone [worthy] of peace and blessedness is there, the peace and blessedness you wish shall come upon him; but if not, it shall come back to you. 7 And stay on in the same house, eating and drinking what they provide, for the laborer is worthy of his wages. Do not keep moving from house to house. 8 Whenever you go into a town and they receive and accept and welcome you, eat what is set before you; 9 And heal the sick in it and say to them, The kingdom of God has come close to you. Luke 10:1-9 AMP

The seventy returned with joy, saying, Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name! 18 And He said to them, I saw Satan falling like a lightning [flash] from heaven. 19 Behold! I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and [physical and mental strength and ability] over all the power that the enemy [possesses]; and nothing shall in any way harm you. 20 Nevertheless, do not rejoice at this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are enrolled in heaven. Luke 10:17-20 AMP

Jesus sent the seventy out before Him to minister to people – to heal them and set them free. The seventy returned with joy, saying, "Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your Name!" And Jesus said to them, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven."

The Name of Jesus is not a toy – but a powerful weapon! We should use it with purpose. Don't think you are the one the devil is afraid of – it is the mighty Name! Immature Christians may get excited about the fact that devils are subject to them – but they need to grow up and realize that it's not because of them, but because of Jesus. They must realize that the devil is not an enemy to be taken lightly or to be underestimated. They must not be ignorant of the devil's devices.

The fact that you – as a blood-washed believer – have authority over devils and demons should be a reality to you. It should not be something you take lightly or for granted, but something that is an established fact in your life and in your walk and in your talk. Meditate on the scriptures that are the source of your authority in Jesus Christ. Don't rejoice that demons are subject to you – but rejoice that you are washed in the blood of Jesus; that you are saved; that your name is written down in the Lamb's Book of Life!

Rejoice in your salvation – rejoice in what Jesus has done for you. Keep your nose clean and your attitude humble!

But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: "God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble." 7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. James 4:6-7 NKJV

God sets Himself against the proud and haughty – but He gives grace to the humble. We need God's grace! First you submit yourself to God – then you resist the devil. Know that the devil is powerless against the mighty Name of Jesus, but don't take pride in the authority given you – be humbly grateful that God has redeemed you from the devil's clutches, domination, and influence. Always give the praise, honor and glory to God. The best protection from the devil you can have is to have clean hands and a pure heart!

Who shall go up into the mountain of the Lord? Or who shall stand in His Holy Place? 4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted himself up to falsehood or to what is false, nor sworn deceitfully. Psalms 24:3-4 AMP

Blog EntryHebrews 10:24Oct 16, '07 5:56 AM
for everyone

Let us think about each other and help each other
to show love and do good deeds.
Hebrews 10:24

Spread love everywhere you go:
first of all in your own house.
Give love to your children,
to your wife or husband,
to a next door neighbor....
Let no one come to you without
leaving better or happier.
Be the living expression
of God's kindness;
kindness in your face,
kindness in your eyes,
kindness in your smile
and kindness in your warm greeting.

~ Mother Teresa ~

If I have brought a gleam of light
     To cheer a darkened day,
If I held out a friendly hand
     To help along the way.
Then in these acts of kindness done
It is not me you see,
But glimpses of that Loving One
Who chose to dwell in me.

Do all the good you can,
By all the means you can,
In all the ways you can,
In all the places you can,
At all the times you can,
To all the people you can,
As long as ever you can.

~ John Wesley~

Blog Entrya beautiful red rose Jun 28, '07 6:52 PM
for everyone

In a dry and desert wilderness there stand a beautiful red rose
with roots that go deep into the ground
so lonely the rose begins to cry out to the Lord
where are you my Lord has you forgotten me
why have you left me alone in this place where I
will die from thirst I call to you but you do not
answer and if you do I cannot hear you I do not feel
your presence I see so many miracles for other flowers
your hand move quickly for them are you still hear with me
why can't I feel you my Spirit is so dry and I' am weary

My beautiful Peddles are wilting and falling from my body
it is so hard to hold on to you and your promises I'm tired
and my faith is failing me. In this place there is no one to see
no one to speak to even the animals pass by and do not speak
oh my Lord where are you in my time of distress and despair
my tears are dried up and they come no more when shall my
morning come when will I feel Love again where is the joy of
my beauty in you Lord

I cant pray or worship for I have nothing else to say oh how I
long to just have a moment with you just to hear your voice
I know I could go another day but I cant find you. will you not rain down on me
I'm thirsty for the living water where is the rain Lord I'm dying

Everyday in the hot scorching sun the Rose loses her strength
one day the very last peddles of the rose falls to the ground
Lord the rose say's can you hear the last beating
of my heart in a moment one last beat and with her dying breath
the Rose cries out Lord please
send the rain she bows her head and dies.

A sound of silence is in the air as the Angels look down on the Rose
then a sound is heard one trickle of rain then two then three after a few
moments a rushing sound of water from heaven is flowing in the desert until it reaches
the rose but the rose but there is no life to be found in her
the second day rain again falls on the dead rose and still nothing
the third day the sun rises and the rain falls and the Spirit of the
Lord breathes upon the lifeless rose
out of the ground a miracle takes place a beautiful rose
appears in its full blossom

oh my the rose say's what has happened I'm alive again how beautiful I' am
but I look different I smell different I do not have thorns and my peddles are not only
red but gold I have never seen myself like this or any other rose look
like this the rose lifts her head to the heavens and there she sees a rainbow in the sky
and remembers the covenant of the Lord
how happy the rose was to know that she was not forgotten by her maker.

she said to the Lord  but I' am still in this desert what now will you do with me
as the rose spoke this a farmer dressed in white came by and stood next to the rose
and said now I will pluck you up with all your roots and plant you in a beautiful garden
the farmer plucked the rose up and help her in his hand so gently he began
 to walk through the
desert in a moment the rose noticed the desert turned into a heavenly place filled
with praise and worship she knew this must be heaven the farmer said to her
here are two gardens chose which one you want to planted in.

she then looked to her left there was a blossoming garden filled with all kinds of flowers
oh I like this garden  she said its so pretty and I would do well here
just then the rose looked to her right and saw another garden
these flowers were not so beautiful many of them were worn and wilted the rose said
Lord please plant me here in this beautiful garden with the flowers that are not
 so full of life for
here I can shine here I can tell of my Life and your Love
so the farmer smiled at the rose and said oh how please I' am that you chose
 this garden they need
to know that I' am with them I have not forsaken them here in this garden
I will use you to bring
back to life the Flowers I created them to be they shall find life in me and they
 will know my Love through
you. The rose looked at the farmer his eyes were filled with tears as he smiled
and said dear rose I have been
with you all this time but you needed to die to self so you could see the glory
of my father at that moment
the rose knew she was resting in the hands of her master the one she
so desperately cried out to was now hold her
and the best thing of all the rose realized her master was pleased with
her so the rose begin to sing
she sang a new song that filled the heavens with the aroma of joy.

ReviewReviewReviewReviewReviewHear My Prayer Jun 11, '07 4:12 AM
for everyone
Category:Other

The poignant message of this prayer begins with these words:
"Hear my prayer, LORD; let my cry for help come to you. Do not hide your face from me when I am in distress. Turn your ear to me; when I call, answer me quickly" (Psalm 102:1-2 TNIV).

The comment before these words describes the author: "A prayer of an afflicted person who has grown weak and pours out a lament before the LORD."

This may describe you.

As you read these words from the Psalmist, do you find yourself crying, "Hear my prayer, LORD; let my cry for help come to you." Do you sometimes wonder if he has hidden his face from you or if he has turned his ear away from you?

When life wears us down and we grow faint, we can come before the Father and pour out our lament ... we shed our tears ... we weep ... we express our grief. We can lay it all in the Lord's hands, freely, openly, with no holding back, no pretending things are better than they are, and no desire to go another day in the shape we are in.

The conditions around us are temporary!

As difficult as it may be, there is probably no safer place than right where we could be at such a moment. In our afflictions, God can strengthen us, sustain us, refresh us and lift us up. He does not leave us.

This "prayer of an afflicted person ..." concludes with these words:

"In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment. Like clothing you will change them and they will be discarded. But you will remain the same, and your years will never end. The children of your servants will live in your presence; their descendents will be established before you" (Psalm 102:25-28).

In the wisdom of God, one of the great blessings given to those who follow the LORD is that we can come to him in our broken state, and in our times of trouble we can lay all our cares in His hands and know that he hears us. The conditions around us are temporary ... they will perish and be discarded ... but the LORD's presence remains throughout all generations. Our future, and our children's future, is assured by the LORD's ongoing and gracious presence. We, and forever they, can rest assured that when we call to him, he hears us!

Blog EntryI have chosen youMay 5, '07 1:29 PM
for everyone

I have chosen you

‘Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you’

John 15:16

Chosen by God! Wow! What a privilege! How many of us are truly aware of the honour bestowed upon us? As Christians, do we take our God and all His benefits for granted? It seems that once saved we are happy to live on a level where we do not wish anything to disturb our equilibrium.

For many, the Christian life holds no challenge. Why put ourselves out when others will do it? We are happy to accept the benefits of being a Christian, however we get very embarrassed if we are asked to do something for Him.

We shun the shame of the cross. There is no need for me to tell the whole world that I am a Christian. I am happy to keep these things quiet. I am happy to get on with my life without doing harm to anyone or causing offence. I’ll be humble and keep these things to myself.

Life after all is hard enough. No point in making things worse!

Can you imagine the kind of world we would be living in today, if our forefathers in the faith had thought and lived in like manner? Sadly that is the way with many claiming to be Christians in our day. Many are so well off with regards to material possessions, health and financial security that they assume that the Lord is well pleased with their lives.

They bear no fruit whatsoever. It does not seem to bother them. They are regular attendants at every church meeting and there is no outward sin that anyone can accuse them of. They love nothing better than to sit in judgement. Fault finding is their speciality. I wonder just how many read verse two of this chapter and take it to heart?

It is fearful!

I cannot understand any Christian who does not want to bear fruit for his Saviour. I know full well that we fail each and every day of our lives in this respect, however there is surely a spirit within us that yearns not only to bear fruit, but to bear much fruit. It is as natural to the spiritual man as breathing.

Does the love that veiled itself in human form on the cross for sinners such as us not motivate us to do exploits for God? Does the innocent blood that flowed not move us anymore?

Are we like those who guard the Crown Jewels in the Tower of London. They see these precious gems and crowns every day of their lives and they now take them for granted. They no longer hold that special WOW when first they set eyes on them.

Each new day is special. Eternity awaits, we are but a breath away. We have but a short time here in this body to do business with our God. Are we scared to be different? Do we still fear what man may do or say to us? Are we still not able to harness that resurrection power in our lives?

Listen to the Word. We did not choose this life for ourselves, God did! We truly deserve an eternity in Hell! Not one of us can deny that. Sometimes I fear we lose sight of the hellishness of Hell just as surely as we lose sight of the sinfulness of sin.

Christ in us, the hope of glory. We may feel weak and unable to serve Him. We may be more fruitful on our sickbed than ever we were in good health! I know from experience that I am more fervent in my prayers for Pastors and preachers now than ever I was.

As ones engrafted into the True Vine, let us drink freely of the sap and bathe in the light, joyfully bearing precious fruit for the Great Husbandman.

Abiding in Him is our strength. Through Christ we can do all things. We need not fear. If God be for us who can be against us? No weapon formed against us shall prosper. I am thy shield and exceeding great reward. I am your refuge and your strength in straits a present aid.

The promises of God are plentiful. Each one has a value and purpose that meets any need that we may encounter. He does not want us to do anything in our own strength. He tells us that without Him we can do nothing.

(How many more times am I going to have to learn this lesson?)

Listen to the gracious and loving words of our beloved Saviour. ‘Whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, He may give it you.’ Ask and you shall receive. God is not a liar. He will never let you down. He will never forsake you or cause you harm.

He does not look upon us in anger. He cannot. His wrath was turned upon Christ at Calvary. He looks upon us today through the eyes of love. That itself should be incentive enough for us to bear as much fruit as we can for Him, while it is day.

'These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.' Be a mirror for Christ today, reflect His image. God has chosen you. God has chosen you for a purpose. God has chosen you because He loves you. God has chosen you to live and to bear much fruit.

God, what do you mean to be still and know you are God?

My child, what I mean is:
Though the earth be removed,
Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled,
Though the mountains shake with swelling,
Though the wind blow,
Though the storm rage;
IN OTHER WORDS
Though your bills are due,
Though they give you a hard time on your job,
Though your husband won't act right,
Though your wife won't act right,
Though your children are disobedient,
Though there's sickness in your body,
Though your enemies get on your NERVES;
Stop your WORRIES!
Stop your COMPLAINING!
Stop your DOUBTING!
Stop your FROWNING!
Cease your fears, and dry up those tears!
For I'm right there to comfort you,
I'm right there to guide you,
I'm right there to hold you up,
I'm right there to heal you,
I'm right there to deliver you.
So cast your cares upon me for I careth for you.
My child this is what I mean by being still and knowing
I AM GOD.

The Lord Jesus said in Matthew 11:28-30:

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and
I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me;
for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto
your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

1Peter 5:7 "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."

Psalm 37:7a "Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him:"

13 You will arise and have mercy on Zion;
For the time to favor her,
Yes, the set time, has come.
14 For Your servants take pleasure in her stones,
And show favor to her dust.
15 So the nations shall fear the name of the LORD,
And all the kings of the earth Your glory.
 16 For the LORD shall build up Zion;
He shall appear in His glory.
17 He shall regard the prayer of the destitute,
And shall not despise their prayer.

18 This will be written for the generation to come,
That a people yet to be created may praise the LORD.
 19 For He looked down from the height of His sanctuary;
From heaven the LORD viewed the earth,
20 To hear the groaning of the prisoner,
To release those appointed to death,
21 To declare the name of the LORD in Zion,
         And His praise in Jerusalem,
22 When the peoples are gathered together,
And the kingdoms, to serve the LORD.

 23 He weakened my strength in the way;
         He shortened my days.

To find God's treasures which renew
But as we go the fragrance true
Refreshes the heart and renews the soul

Blog EntryFive Finger Prayer Mar 1, '07 6:27 PM
for everyone

Five Finger Prayer

1. Your thumb is nearest to you.
So begin your prayers by praying for those closest to you.
They are the easiest to remember.
TO PRAY FOR OUR LOVED ONES AS A "SWEET DUTY"

2. The next finger is the pointing finger.
Pray for those who teach, instruct and heal.
This includes teachers, doctors, and ministers.
They need support and wisdom in pointing others in the right direction.

KEEP THEM IN YOUR PRAYERS.

3.The next finger is the tallest finger, which reminds our leaders.
Pray for the national leaders, leaders in business and industry,
and administrators.
These people shape our nation and guide public opinion.
THEY NEED GOD'S GUIDANCE.

4. The fourth finger is our ring finger.
Surprising to many is fact that this is our weakest finger;
as any piano teacher will testify.
It should remind us to pray for those who are weak, in trouble or in pain.
THEY NEED YOUR PRAYERS DAY AND NIGHT.

5. And lastly comes our little finger; the smallest finger of all.
Which is where we should place ourselves in relation to God and others.
As the Bible says, "The least shall be the greatest among you"
Your pinkie should remind you to pray for yourself.
By the time you have prayed for the other four groups,
your own needs will be put into proper perspective.
YOU'LL BE ABLE TO PRAY FOR YOURSELF MORE EFFECTIVELY

Although things are not perfect
Because of trial or pain
Continue in thanksgiving
Do not begin to blame
Even when the times are hard
Fierce winds are bound to blow
God is forever able
Hold on to what you know
Imagine life without His love
Joy would cease to be
Keep thanking Him for all the things
Love imparts to thee
Move out of "Camp Complaining"
No weapon that is known
On earth can yield the power
Praise can do alone
Quit looking at the future
Redeem the time at hand
Start every day with worship
To "thank" is a command
Until we see Him coming
Victorious in the sky
We'll run the race with gratitude
Xalting God most high
Yes, there'll be good times and yes
some will be bad, but...
Zion waits in glory...
where none are ever sad!

Blog EntryCrucified with ChristJan 21, '07 6:55 AM
for everyone

When Christ died on the cross the work of salvation was completed and Christ provided access for all believers into God’s holy presence. Therefore, salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone in Christ alone.

God is a real person and our relationship with Him can be cultivated as with any other relationship. We have been saved to live in fellowship with Him. We can enjoy the riches of the Christian life only as we grow in intimacy with Christ. The presence of our Lord in our lives brings this intimacy and these riches in glory with Him.

If there is no peace, joy, longsuffering, patience, live, etc., it may well be that we are out of fellowship with Him, or that we have not come into a living relationship with Him. We must spend time in His presence everyday. It is terribly easy to get our minds set on a thousand good things, but not on Christ. No religious activities or feelings can substitute for the cultivation of the presence of God in our lives.

I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me . . ." (Galatians 2:20 NET).

“When Christ bids us come and follow, He bids us come and die,” said Bonhoeffer.

The victory in the Christian's life comes as we die to selfishness and follow Him.

The apostle Paul wrote, “To me, to live is Christ and to die is gain” (Phil. 1:20). Again he wrote, “The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me” (Gal. 2:20). Paul can write this because he has been crucified with Christ.

The Christian life is impossible to live if you do not know Christ as your Savior. It is impossible if you have never put your faith in Christ. Nothing in the unsaved person’s life can satisfy God’s righteousness. God will not accept our self-righteousness in the slightest degree. Self-crucifixion by a lost person will not save you.

It is only after an individual has put his faith in Christ and been born again that God brings a person to self-crucifixion so Christ will be magnified.

Have you made a commitment to Jesus Christ as your personal Savior? Have you trusted in His saving grace at the cross? Have you put your faith in His death and His blood to cover all your sins? If you never have, you need to do so right now.

When we are crucified with Christ we allow Him to strip away everything that keeps us from having an intimate fellowship with Him. It is like letting Him strip off all our old worn out clothing and letting Him robe us in His perfect righteousness. Anything that would keep us from following into the fullness of His life needs to be nailed to the cross daily.

ACCEPT
the way God made you.
Be EMPTIED of self
to make room for God.
Allow God to CLEANSE you
even if the process is painful.
Be FILLED and constantly refilled
with the Living Water of the Holy Spirit.
POUR OUT your life
in ministry as God directs.

2 Corinthians 5:17-18 (Accept Yourself as God's Chosen Vessel)
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!
18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.

Blog EntryThe Word of GodJan 12, '07 1:24 AM

Hebrews 4:12

For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

Jeremiah 23:29

"Is not my word like fire," declares the LORD, "and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?

The Word of God speaks about the fire
that is in and around God almighty.
It’s a fire that burns away all His enemies.

There is however another fire.
The fire of His love.

This fire goes much deeper than any other fire.
It’s a fire that is invisible for the eye,
because it burns inside the heart of God.
It’s only visible for eyes that look
beyond the superficial.

This fire is what we all need.
And this fire is what the Holy Spirit
wants to give us.

The fire of God’s love nailed Jesus Christ
to the cross. It wasn’t nails that kept Him there.
He could have come off that cross any moment.
But He chose the pain. He chose the torture.
Because love is stronger than pain.
His love is stronger than death. It killed Him.
And the God of love raised Him to life again.

He was dead because of His love.
And He is alive, to give you His love.

Receive His love for you every day.
He is waiting to give it to you.
‘Ask and you shall receive.’
Keep asking, untill it consumes you
and burns away all fear and unbelief.
